The cardboard production process requires a lot of electricity and process steam. The preparation of raw material generates large quantities of wood waste, such as wet bark and log offcuts. The cogeneration plant was built to thermally utilise wood waste for cogeneration of electricity and process steam. The thermal treatment of wood waste generates 1 MW of electricity and 12 t/h of process steam.
