In December 2020, a unique distribution centre in Serbia became operational, owned by Savacoop from Novi Sad, the leading company in the field of import and distribution of plant protection products, complete agricultural raw materials, equipment and tools in the region. The distribution centre covers an area of almost 24,000 m2 and is unique for its automated “mini load” system with a surface area of around 2,000 m2.
This distribution centre has 3 types of storage (representing about 70% of the total capacity):
- VNA rack storage with a capacity of 11,200 pallet spaces;
- AS-RS Mini load with a capacity of 21,000 plastic crates;
- approx. 4,000 pallet places of additional storage for top logistics in agriculture.
The warehouse is managed by a complex WMS system, which Savacoop uses to supply its end customers with the ordered goods on a daily basis.
