The Prahovo Chemical Park, on the banks of the Danube River, hosts a fertiliser factory that requires large amounts of process steam for its production process. In the recent past, process steam was produced from coal. In order to reduce the carbon footprint of the fertiliser production process and to mitigate the risk associated with the volatility of energy prices, the investor decided to build a thermal treatment plant for hazardous waste, which will produce 35 t/h of process steam.
